Shannon Butler

Shannon has been devoted to the functional approach for her own health for 20 years. Diagnosed in her early 20’s with chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, IBS, IC, severe allergies, a pituitary disorder and fertility issues, she was determined to see if there was a better way to live. At the same time she was working as a designer for a magazine where a local chiropractor would place ads. One day after leaving yet another doctor’s appointment and receiving yet another prescription, Shannon made a gutsy move. On her way out the door she threw the prescription in the trash. Once she got to her car, she reached for one of her magazines with the chiropractor’s ad and made a call that changed her life. Upon visiting this chiropractor she learned new ways of approaching her health by honoring her body’s own ability to heal. From then on she was committed to making healthy life choices that work in step to assist the body in healing. It was the best decision she ever made for her personal health and she has never looked back. She is delighted to work with you offering whatever help she can as you walk your own path toward better health.

Shannon is certified as a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach through IFM’s Functional Medicine Coaching Academy. She is also certified as an Integrative Wellness and Life Coach, Muscle Response Testing Practitioner, NRTP® and Emotion Code Practitioner, CECP. Currently she continues taking courses in Applied Kinesiology as she enjoys continuing education and being a lifelong learner on all matters of Functional and Integrative Health.

Shannon currently resides in Lebanon, OH where she enjoys cooking, reading, yoga and nature hikes with her two free-spirited kiddos.

My Story: From Hardly Standing to Standing on My Head

“Holding Your Ground… Even On The Hard Days”

Anyone who does yoga can tell you the amount of patience it takes to hold a yoga pose… a little longer… a little longer… and yet, a little longer. You think you can’t possibly do it, and then by the end of the class you realize, you actually did it! Somehow those yoga teachers were able to guide you into holding some crazy position for much longer than you ever dreamed. You’re amazed at the fact you just did something that minutes ago you felt like you couldn’t ever do. You chose to “hold your ground” regardless of how hard it seemed. The truth is, humanity is capable of more than we realize, and many of us have only begun to awaken to what it means to expand upon our potential and test our perceived limits…

Let’s work together.
